The following is an analysis of weather in Thessaloniki during July. The data source is from weather stations from the Hellenic National Meteorological Service. The prevailing winds are (in order of frequency) NW, SW, S, W and SE (primarily in the afternoon). SW and NW wind force increases at midday (14:00) and decreases significantly throughout the afternoon until about 20:00. This phenomenon is particularly strong and takes place on a regular daily basis. Accordingly July is the most suitable for sailing competitions. The mean temperature is 28°C, ranging from 22°C to 35°C.
